"I have been very often as a guest in those apartment. What I loved is location-central but a quiet street. ||||There are several problems in the building: on the gaund floor is a restaurant which works only with organised tours and it is impossible to sleep with open windows in summer as the crowd is extremely loud- for the apartments with street view. In winter is OK, because the windows are well insolated. Second problem is a ventilation as the smell from the kitchen is incredible. ||||The apartments are interesting design and spacious, modern bathrooms. And there is another problem-as we were there long term clients they had no attention: changing the standing lamps without saying a word; once they took them away and didn't say anything, didn't want to change the boulbs- only half of them were working. The dishes to cook were old, scrached teflon and stinking. We had asked for regular cleaning but you could not call it cleaning. ||No attention, no interest, just pay stay and leave. For short term maybe it is good. ||I have this kind of experience. ||As I wrote: perfect location, nice and interesting apartments but poor service."
"My husband and I stayed at the apartments for a three night break. The apartments are in a good location, with plenty of choice for places to eat and drink in the nearby square. It was easy to get a taxi from the area too when travelling further a field. The check in was relatively easy, although after some initial confusion, the cleaner was left to give us the keys as the owner wasn't available. The apartment was clean, furnished nicely and well equipped. We would be happy to stay here again if we return to Poland."
"Sehr schöne und große Einrichtung im Studio-Stil mit Küchenblock und Kaffeeautomat. Kaffeekapseln wurden nachgefüllt. Klimatisiert (kann man alleine einstellen) und kostenloses Internet. Absolut zentral im jüdischen Viertel. Großes Bad. Alles sehr sauber. Die Leute total nett. Nachts ist es von den gegenüberliegenden Gaststätten sehr laut. Aber man kann ja die Fenster schließen. Bewachter Parkplatz etwas weiter weg. Das Apartment ist sehr empfehlenswert. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es unheimlich viele Gaststätten."
"This apartment was booked over 12 months ago with the clear understanding from their website that it provided "hotel" like accomadation.||Well! I beg to differ.||We had to phone ahead advising of our arrival time in order for someone to meet us out front. In freezing, dark and foggy weather we were waiting for the woman to arrive (by taxi) and she ushered us into the "reception" area. Very intent on receiving her balance payment, and obviously in a rush (to get back in the waiting taxi). ||Keys were handed out, no instructions for anything in the building were given. She quickly showed us to the apartment, then left. In the apartment, whilst a 6 out 10 clean, we found no instruction manuals for anything. We couldn't work the outdated TV, couldn't turn the gas fireplace on, no password for wifi. Rang the office with little help received. On further findings, there is no area to store luggage on vacating. The electricity went off, we opted to fix ourselves, as had made a call to the office regarding lack of light in the upstairs shower area. But the office didn't have a clue what we were talking about. The apartment has a lingering odour as does the reception area which is quite powerful and not very nice.||All in all I found this to be probably the worst accomadation I have stayed in mainly due to the lack of professionalism from the office staff. Would not recommend and would not return."
"Off White Apartments are in a great location, not too noisy but in the centre of a lovely. lively district (Kazimierz) with easy connections to the main sights. They were clean and comfortable, reasonably well equipped (although lacking some kitchen basics like a colander) and very spacious and airy. ||||It’s a good place to stay with just one drawback – the management.||||They do not have most of the ‘hotel’ facilities advertised in the web descriptions. The reception no longer exists, nor does the breakfast restaurant (this has become a sports bar – handy if like us you visit in the middle of the World Cup but does result in a bit of noise if you are on the first floor above it). The apartment block appears to have changed hands recently as it is now managed by Old City Apartments (offices at 40 Szpitalna in the old town centre). Apparently they had not communicated the different arrangements to the various booking agents so after reading up about the apartments on a number of web sites and finally making a reservation through Booking.com we were expecting someone to be at the apartments' reception when we arrived at 2pm but the front door was locked. We tried to phone Old City Apartments (the number was on the door, not on our booking confirmation emails) but got a machine (‘you are in a queue’) and then were cut off. This happened several times. Booking.com were much more efficient – we rang their UK office and they were able to get in touch with Old City Apartments. First we were told someone would be there in 20 minutes so we phoned again after 35 and were told 5 minutes. In all we were waiting an hour outside the apartments before being let in. Later in the week we met another couple outside with a similar problem.||||Once in, we were given a booking confirmation document with the helpful information that we should have registered at Old City Apartments' offices to collect the key (2 km away on public transport with our luggage – I don’t think so).||||There were no instructions for the now slightly dated tech equipment in the apartment and the only thing we were given, the wi-fi name, turned out to be wrong. (We worked that out and the password was correct – once in, it worked fine.) Getting the TV to work was also a voyage of discovery as was the heating/AC system. The safe was locked shut. We tried to call in at Old City Apartments’ office next day during their open hours but a sign said ‘back in 15 minutes’ and we didn’t wait. A couple of days later we found the offices manned. We’d worked most things out by then so we asked for the safe combination (knowing this was a long shot). They said they would text it – of course it never arrived. Why not just be honest with us and say they didn’t know?||||On the plus side the system of one clean mid-week during a week’s stay was good, the balcony was a bonus and there are many good bars and restaurants nearby for all tastes, including fussy vegetarians like us, as well as the fantastic market place just round the corner.||||In summary, potentially a great place to stay for a self-catering city break and in the end we had a really good time, but get in touch with the management before you go to sort out entry to the apartment, and don’t expect a high level of customer service from them."
